Things to do in Burleigh Heads

Things to do in Burleigh Heads
July 15, 2018WDental NewsNewsburleigh heads

If you are holidaying in Burleigh Heads or are locals like us, there are always plenty of things to do in Burleigh Heads itself and surrounds.

If you are searching for markets in Burleigh Heads, there are a few main ones that locals and travellers love and are always the perfect go-to family friendly event on weekends. The Village Markets are a community of creative entrepreneurs, trading on the first and third Sunday of each month at Burleigh Heads State School from early morning to just past lunchtime. These markets are full of amazing clothing, food and music and attract a very casual crowd of market goers looking for the finest of food and fashion. The other is Burleigh Heads Markets which are a food and art and craft market held every last Sunday of the month from early morning to just after lunchtime. The longest running Art and Craft market on the Gold Coast began over 30 years ago. Located between the Headland and North Burleigh along the Ocean Way Path.  Perfect for walking the dog, riding your bike/skateboard/scooter or simply strolling, something is sure to catch your eye along the way. Parking can be a struggle so try and get there early to avoid missing out.

You cannot pass going to Burleigh Heads Beach for an early morning or evening stroll with the family. If running is your thing, the pathways along the beach are the perfect spot to kick off that exercise while taking in the sights and sounds that Burleigh Heads Beach has on offer. Always check with a health professional before starting any exercise routine. If the sand is your thing, the beach itself is generally flat so walking your dog can be done with ease but always check the signs as to where you can take your little friend. Throughout the day you will hear the beautiful lorikeets high up in the trees as you walk past Burleigh Surf Club, which is great to drop in to grab something to eat or for coffee. Keep heading toward the Headland to find BBQ spots, restaurants and more cafes. Our dental surgery is only walking distance from the beach so you may bump into us during lunchtime!

If you are searching for things to do in Burleigh Heads, these are just a handful of relaxing things to do. What are some of your favourite activities in Burleigh Heads?
