Dr Cristiane (Cris) Albuquerque Braga is a highly experienced, ADC-certified Australian dentist with over 15 years of clinical practice in Australia and more than 23 years in the dental field. Based in Burleigh Heads, Dr Cris is passionate about delivering high-quality, personalised care, with a special focus on orthodontics, Invisalign®, and cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
After completing her dental degree and postgraduate training in orthodontics, Dr Cris relocated to the Gold Coast in 2008. Since then, she has become a well-respected part of the local dental community, both as a clinician and an educator.
From 2012 to 2019, she served as a senior academic at Griffith University’s School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where she held roles as Orthodontics Discipline Lead and Growth & Development Lead, in addition to lecturing in general dental practice. Over her eight years at Griffith, she taught and mentored more than 800 future dentists, many of whom now refer patients to her.
Dr Cris was also a co-owner of a successful clinic in Murwillumbah, where she built strong, lasting relationships with patients, many of whom travelled from the Gold Coast to continue their care with her. In 2023, she and her husband (also a dentist and academic) sold their share in the practice to pursue their long-term goal of opening a clinic closer to home.
Now located just few minutes from her residence, Dr Cris is excited to bring her expertise and patient-focused philosophy to her own clinic in Burleigh Heads, serving a community she has proudly been part of for over a decade.
Known for her calm, compassionate nature and meticulous attention to detail, Dr Cris is especially passionate about helping patients achieve beautiful, functional smiles through Invisalign treatment and cosmetic rehabilitation. She stays up to date with the latest advancements in dental care and is dedicated to creating a welcoming, professional environment for every patient.
Outside of the clinic, Dr Cris enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and staying active in the vibrant Burleigh community she calls home. She regularly takes part in triathlons, half marathons, and other fitness events, and enjoys everything from running and swimming to skiing and strength training. Her focus on health and wellbeing extends into her professional life, where she’s passionate about helping patients feel confident and cared for.

Dr Tiago Braga
With extensive experience, Dr. Tiago has a strong focus on complex root canal treatments, using cutting-edge technology and techniques to achieve excellent results. We are also pleased to offer root canal treatments under general anaesthesia for patients who suffer from severe dental anxiety, or need longer, more complex procedures that might be uncomfortable or challenging to undergo while awake.
Dr. Tiago Braga graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science in December 2003. In 2007, he completed a Specialization Course in Endodontics in São Paulo, Brazil, followed by advanced training in Endodontic Microscopy at the Pacific Endodontic Research Foundation (PERF) in San Diego, California. Subsequently, Dr. Braga was appointed as a Lecturer and Supervisor for the Endodontics and Endodontic Microsurgery Specialization Course at APCD Americana in Brazil.
In 2009, Dr. Braga completed a Postgraduate Program in Endodontic Microsurgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Throughout his 21-year career, he has dedicated 16 years to teaching and researching Endodontics and Endodontic Microsurgery, in addition to his private practice. Dr. Braga has authored three chapters in two prominent Endodontics textbooks and published numerous articles in leading journals, including the Journal of Endodontics (JOE), Journal of Dental Education (JDE), European Journal of Dental Education, Endodontic Practice US, Clinical Oral Investigations, among others.
From 2014 to 2023, he worked at the School of Medicine and Dentistry at Griffith University. During this time, he was responsible for coordinating the Master of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics program, as Clinical Delegate for the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics program, and as Clinical Delegate for the Endodontics undergraduate program. Dr. Braga’s outstanding contributions to teaching were recognized with several commendation letters from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), and he was honoured by having his name included nine times on the Griffith Learning and Teaching Awards website’s list of outstanding teachers.
Dr. Braga had the great honour of receiving the 2022 Honorary Member Award and being invited to join the prestigious Golden Key International Honour Society. Golden Key Honorary Membership recognizes individuals who have demonstrated excellence in academia, leadership, and community service. Golden Key Honorary members come from all walks of life, including politics, business, science, the arts, sports, and community service. It was a privilege for Dr. Braga to be recognized among such distinguished individuals.
Dr. Braga is an active member of both the American Association of Endodontists and the Brazilian Society of Endodontists.
